It's a shame that some people have to ruin someone else's night. It really is.

Have you ever gotten that feeling where you find out who your true friends are, and it makes you want to cry because you appreciate them so much? I don't know if that sounds weird but that happened to me tonight. I mean I know Jesse and Bil are my good friends and that we have been friends for 2 and a half ish years now, but tonight they really came through for me. Jesse tried to convince me for 10-15 minutes to stay in Oconto, and then after I told him I made my decision, Bil tried convincing me to stay.

Bil made me feel a lot better about the situation. He made me realize a lot of things about our "group" of friends. A lot of people come and go from our little group, but there are a certain few of us that will stick together probably forever. They are the friends I never want to lose and they are the friends that I could never get mad at no matter how hard I tried. They make me feel welcomed in the most awkward situations and they cheer me up when I'm down.

Also, tonight Bil apologized to me. I told him he had no reason to apologize (it's a long story) but he told me that what he apparently has been doing he doesn't feel too good about. It means a lot to me when someone apologizes for something that they've been doing, whether it directly effects me or not. And that made me appreciate him all that much more.

Yeah, I'm done rambling about friendship. Let's just say I had a not so good night. Whatever, tomorrow is another day.

- Offend In Every Way

This weekend was great.

Friday morning I got up at 6 and showered. Got everything gathered together. Picked Josh up around 7:30ish. We went to 5 different parks (4 in door county, 1 near green bay). Then we camped out overnight at Peninsula State Park (the last of our trip).

Stop number 1: Bayshore County Park. Really not much to see/do there. We walked along a trail with giant cliffs on one side of us and then headed down by the shore. It was nice because it was humid but it was kind of cool so we weren't extremely hot, plus it was sort of early in the morning.

Stop number 2: Potawatomi State Park. It was better than Bayshore, but once again not really much to do there. We went to this overlook thing, and I got some pretty cool pictures. Then we hiked along a trail to a lookout tower. The view from atop the tower was so amazing. I got some more really good pictures, and they were nice because it was hazy so they look pretty cool. Then we went near this part of the shore and it had a playground so I swung on the swings. Then we walked along shore a little bit and left.

Stop number 3: Whitefish Dunes/Cavepoint. Whitefish Dunes was SO smelly. Dead fish are so nasty. We didn't even go near the beach and we could smell it like crazy. We hiked through the forest and eventually ended up at an "overlook platform." From the platform you didn't really see much. But we did see a really cool looking snake on the way up to the platform.

Cavepoint was so cool. If you've never been there, it's like the shore is solid rock and in some places it sticks up out of the water. Josh and I went out as far as we could without our shoes getting wet and we tried to keep going farther down shore. It was really fun, and our favourite stop of the trip. So pretty!

Stop number 4: Newport State Park. Probably the worst stop of them all. We decided to hike the shortest trail, a 2 mile loop. It took us forever and we were hot and crabby and covered in spider webs. We both just wanted to get out of the woods and back on the road to our final stop. I did however get a kind of cool picture of 2 snails on a rock. It sounds dull, but you'd have to see it. After we finally finished the trail we went on the beach for a little bit and then left. We weren't really there for that long, not counting the amount of time the trail took.

Stop number 5: Peninsula State Park. I really liked Peninsula. It seemed like there was a ton to do there, however we didn't do that much. We got there around 5ish. We found our campsite and set up the tent. Then I went to get some fire wood and ice to put in our coolers. When I got back we started the fire and ate some hot dogs and cracked a bunch of weiner jokes. :) It was a good time. Our site had electricity so we plugged in my stereo and listened to music while sitting by the fire. I got sap on my fingers and I was PISSED. Haha I could not get it off no matter how much I washed them but somehow it eventually came off. Josh gave me the idea to burn it off, yeah that didn't work. Anyways, after awhile we gave up on our fire (it was kind of a shitty fire) and we listened to Kid A and looked at the stars. Called it a night pretty early, around 10 or 11. Then the next morning I took a shower while Josh got a fire started. He attempted to make breakfast, and it probably would've worked really well if we would've had some prior camping experience haha. Then we went to the beach at our campground and then we went to another look out tower. And then we came home but made a stop at a mini golf course. And he beat me. Again.

Yup that's pretty much the extent of our trip. I had a ton of fun though and I want to go again next week. I don't know if I will or not though.

Also, I've been making a lot of good realizations lately. They make me happy and hopefully I'll stay this way for awhile.

Such a great day.

Woke up for an appointment at 815. Appointment at 9. Called Josh at about quarter to 10 and of course he's not awake (even though I told him the night before I was calling him early) so I got to his house around 10 and he showered while I played with his cat. We layed around for awhile and then we attempted to go mini golfing but it was raining. We went back to his house and played Madden '06 (in which I got my ass kicked). Layed around some more and then went out for pizza at Gallahgers (sp?) and then went mini golfing. Went back to Josh's for another game of Madden then we fell asleep for 4 hours (whoops) and I came home. Got home around 145.

So the drive home was pretty weird. Last night there was a crash on 41 that killed two people. A drunken lady was driving south on the northbound highway around 2:30 and crashed into another car. That was half an hour after I was in the same spot that it happened. So the entire way home tonight all I could think about was someone being drunk and not seeing my car and just rear-ending me or trying to go around me and cutting back into my lane before they were in front of me or something. I was probably being ridiculous and over reacting but I can't see when I drive on the highway so I just wanted to be even more careful then I already have to be.

Yeah so I don't really know. My birthday is in 4 days. I work every day until then. Which means friday (birthday) = party until my eyes bleed.

- Wish You Were Here

I love my bass. It's one of those things where you really want it, then you get it, then it sits off to the side for awhile, then you pick it up one day and you're like what the fuck why am I not playing this beast more often? Well I can tell you why. Shannon and I have both been too busy to focus on our music :-/ So hopefully now that school is coming to an end and summer is picking up we can kick that shit into gear and work on something.

There's like 3.5 days left of school. Soo fucking pointless. In Art Metals today we watched Family Guy and then a Jack Johnson video and then a Beck video? Haha Mr. Dolan and I both had our iPods at school so he hooked his up and then I wanted to watch the Beck video so we hooked mine up. 2nd hour was reading and next week we're spending the rest of school watching a movie and then taking a test? 3rd hour we have a test and then an exam..fuck that! 4th hour we bullshit around everyday while attempting to take notes.. and 5th hour it's study guides and labs. What a bore.

Nothing all that exciting has been going on lately. I'm off of work for 2 weeks (only a week and a half remaining on that term) because I got in a little "dispute" with my manager at work. I was only sticking up for myself and look where it landed me! Ha. Well I went to Henri's and turned in a resume and then I went to office max and gave them a resume also and then applied online for there. I'm hoping I get a call from one of the two places.

Hooray for birthday in 28 days.
